We had the absolute pleasure of being one of the mentors for District School Board of Niagara Young Women’s Conference. The conference was filled with empowering mentors in the skilled trades industry. We also had the pleasure of hearing Kate Campbell speak. She is an incredible example of an empowering influencer in the skilled trades industry!

The Girls Mechanic Team was previewed on CTV's Noon Show with Anwar Knight. This was to help create awareness in the community. GMT ran through some of the tasks taught in workshops and spoke about the importance of these workshops.
The Girls Mechanic Team was invited to Niagara College to teach highschool and college students the basics of Auto Maintenance. This was to help introduce women to the option of pursuing the Automotive Industry through Niagara's Automotive Program.
The Girls Mechanic Team Founder was invited to be a mentor at the District School Board of Niagara "Young Women Conference". She was able to create awareness and helped make high school girls understand the importance of knowing the basic car maintenance.
The founder of GMT Jowana Burgan was invited to speak at the AutoShop Show to explain the importance of this for women. Jowana wants to break social norms by turning people into confident drivers and smarter consumers.
The Girls Mechanic Team appeared on CP24 Breakfast Show in three segments to show case live some of the tasks that we teach during the workshops.
